About Fire and Security Companies
Fire and Security Companies is an independent directory that helps businesses find local fire and security companies, and see at a glance which ones appear on official approval registers.
Why the directory exists
Finding a fire or security installer for commercial premises, property, or your home usually means a general search, a handful of company websites and no easy way to tell who is approved for what.
Trade body registers are accurate but list one scheme at a time. General directories list everyone but rarely check anything.
We bring the two together.
Every listing shows the business's services, the towns it covers, its Google rating and whether we found it on the BAFE, NSI or SSAIB register, with the date we checked.

What we cover
We list companies offering six services for commercial premises and homes: CCTV, fire alarms, intruder alarms, access control, door entry and gate automation.
We started in Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire and Rutland, and are adding more areas and businesses as the directory grows.

How the directory is paid for
Every real business is listed free. Companies can pay for a Premium listing (£99 a year) or a Best-of placement sponsored listing (£249 for 12 months).
Premium never changes a company’s position; Best-of town sponsored listings appear in a separate, labelled box.
Both improve your visibilty and website SEO. You can read exactly how we work on How we check listings.
